Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) is an initiative by the Government of India under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) aimed at fostering innovation and creativity in young minds.

Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) at Kendriya Vidyalaya NFR Lumding is a hub of innovation. It provides students with opportunities to explore and innovate using advanced tools and technologies. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including 3D printers, robotics kits, and electronic sensors, the lab encourages students to experiment, design, and build prototypes and developing scientific temperament.

Under ATL Many Projects were made by students such as Digital ID Card, RADAR Prototype, Pulse Monitor, APP integrated Taser Gun for women safety, IOT Based Bio Pest Control System, Obstacle Avoiding Robot, Fire Detection and prevention, Automatic TV Switch Off system based on proximity, Smart Blind Stick, Accident Prevention Model, RFID based Traffic Control System.
